About The Position

Lennox AES is searching for a responsible Commercial Field Measurement Specialist to oversee field verification, site documentation, issue resolution support, and sales/engineering coordination for the State of Texas. This role serves as a critical link between Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing by gathering accurate field data necessary for commercial HVAC equipment replacements, retrofit projects, and field issue resolution. The Commercial Field Measurement Specialist performs site visits to capture equipment dimensions, document existing conditions, identify installation constraints, and provide detailed reports that support project design and execution. Successful candidates combine technical aptitude, strong organizational skills, customer-facing professionalism, and attention to detail to ensure projects are accurately scoped and efficiently delivered.

Requirements

Experience in commercial HVAC, construction, facilities maintenance, field services, or a related technical industry.
Ability to accurately collect and document field measurements, dimensions, and site conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings, equipment submittals, and installation documents.
Proficiency with tablets, mobile devices, digital cameras, and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to create sketches, markups, and basic field documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to professionally interact with customers, building owners, contractors, and internal teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, facilities maintenance, or construction experience.
Experience performing field surveys, site assessments, equipment inspections, or measurements.
Familiarity with rooftop units (RTUs), curbs, ductwork, electrical service, and retrofit projects.
Experience documenting projects with photos, sketches, and reports.
Strong customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate measurement appointments with customers and site contacts.
Review project requirements prior to site visits.
Collect all required dimensions and measurements for commercial HVAC equipment replacement and retrofit projects.
Photograph equipment, roof conditions, curbs, utilities, access points, and surrounding site conditions.
Identify potential installation challenges including structural obstructions, utility conflicts, crane access limitations, and safety concerns.
Verify existing equipment information including model numbers, serial numbers, voltage, and configuration details.
Coordinate field support visits for project and installation issues.
Work with Sales and Engineering teams to understand field concerns and required information.
Document existing conditions through photographs, measurements, and written observations.
Capture data necessary to support issue resolution and corrective action planning.
Develop accurate sketches and field drawings using collected measurements.
Upload drawings, photographs, and supporting documentation into company systems.
Communicate completed site assessments to Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.
Maintain detailed and organized project records.
Provide timely updates regarding site conditions, project readiness, and identified risks.
Serve as a professional representative of Lennox AES at customer locations.
Communicate project requirements and scheduling details with customers.
Build positive customer relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and technical competence.
