About The Position

Penn Fencing, Inc. is seeking a motivated Commercial Fence Estimator / Outside Sales Representative who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and closing profitable projects. This role involves developing new commercial business opportunities, meeting with potential clients, visiting job sites for measurements, preparing estimates and proposals, and managing the sales pipeline. The company has been a leading fence contractor in Pennsylvania for over 50 years, serving various sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and government clients. As a 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) company, employees have a direct stake in its success.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial estimating, construction sales, or project management preferred.
  • Fence industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and project specifications is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout our service area.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new commercial business opportunities through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
  • Meet with contractors, municipalities, schools, property managers, developers, and business owners.
  • Visit job sites to gather measurements and project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate estimates and professional proposals.
  • Follow projects from bid through contract award.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and industry partners.
  • Work closely with project managers and operations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
