About The Position

As a key contributor within the escrow team, the Commercial Escrow Officer plays an essential role in facilitating complex commercial real estate transactions from start to finish. This role is responsible for reviewing title commitments, following attorney instruction letters, and ensuring the accurate handling and transfer of funds between buyers, sellers, and lenders. This position requires a high level of accuracy, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment. The Commercial Escrow Officer will balance the financial and regulatory aspects of each closing while delivering a seamless and professional customer experience. Success in this role relies on strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage deadlines and competing priorities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Title insurance license required
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to review title commitments and facilitate lien satisfaction for commercial transactions
  • Experience managing and closing commercial real estate transactions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong understanding of financial calculations related to escrow closings
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows, including email correspondence and transaction files
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and general office software
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills within a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 - 3 years of related work experience preferred within escrow, title, or a similar environment

  • Communicating clearly and effectively, through written and verbal channels, with both internal and external audiences, including but not limited to, internal teams, clients, lenders, and attorneys
  • Interpreting title commitments, financial figures, and legal documents with sound judgment and attention to detail
  • Following established policies and procedures while proactively identifying opportunities for operational improvements
  • Completing tasks such as payoffs, recordings, and disbursements promptly
