About The Position
Universal Energy Solutions is hiring motivated individuals to join our Cincinnati team as Commercial Energy Consultants. This entry-level position is designed for people who enjoy working with others and want to build a successful career helping local businesses. As a Commercial Energy Consultant, you’ll meet with local business owners to review their electricity and natural gas supply plans, identify opportunities to reduce energy costs, and recommend competitive supplier options that best fit their business needs. The company provides training, coaching, and mentorship to help individuals succeed, even without previous sales experience. Many companies expect experience before offering opportunities, but Universal Energy Solutions believes great consultants are developed through training, coaching, and real-world experience. During the first several weeks, new hires focus on developing customer relationships while learning a proven customer consultation process alongside experienced mentors. The company aims to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and teach a proven customer consultation process. As experience is gained, opportunities arise to take on larger customer portfolios, build long-term client relationships, and advance into Account Manager and other leadership positions. The company is committed to promoting from within and expanding into new markets.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable meeting with business owners face-to-face

Responsibilities
- Meet face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers.
- Review current electricity and natural gas supply plans.
- Help businesses identify opportunities to reduce their energy costs.
- Recommend competitive energy supplier options based on each customer’s needs.
- Build relationships with prospective commercial customers.
- Learn our proven customer consultation process alongside experienced mentors.
- Travel throughout an assigned territory (typically within a 30-mile radius of the office).
- Build the skills needed to take on larger customer portfolios and advance your career.
