About The Position

This position is responsible for expanding our customer base within an assigned territory through building and maintaining relationships with both current and potential customers. The Commercial Energy Consultant is responsible for understanding specific client needs and offering solutions for permanent and temporary installations. The anticipated pay range for this seasonal position is $103,000-$121,000

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in outside sales, logistics, distribution, automotive sales, or comparable field.
  • Valid state license for size vehicle.
  • Submit to and pass a pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol test.
  • Provide a record of a safe driving history and maintain safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospective customers, which includes providing accurate and current product knowledge, presenting fair and direct proposals, making educated recommendations, negotiating pricing with corporations, contractors, and end users, closing sales agreements, including coordinating all additional requirements associated with purchase orders and payment obligations, and assisting internal and external customers in the entire customer life cycle, including following up after completion of an installation.
  • Achieve or exceed pre-determined product and service sales targets within assigned territory.
  • Travel within assigned sales territory for sales outreach, regulatory compliance coordination, community involvement, seek and connection with potential business opportunities proactively, and conduct cold calls and face-to-face meetings with customers.
  • Network through community events, including those events that occur outside of regular business hours, to develop the Eastern brand and attract new business.
  • Maintain and manage a list of opportunities, monitor and follow up on leads with customers, and provide regular reporting to operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams including Inside Sales and Service.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure a seamless delivery of the experience pitched during the sale, which includes creating detailed and accurate work orders and communicating proactively throughout the process.
  • Utilize web-based platforms on tablet, smart phone, and laptop to manage workflow and record accurate and detailed data, on a timely basis.
  • Network and communicate with local code officials to build the Eastern brand and ensure installations are compliant with local codes, permitting, and restrictions that may be unique to communities in each sales area.
  • Assist in the development, design, communication and implementation of the marketing plan.
  • Monitor industry competitors and market conditions to understand customer-specific needs.
