The Commercial Project Manager position will provide overall management for multiple large projects to plan, schedule, adjust, and maintain timelines in a fast-paced construction/installation environment while maximizing resources and optimizing budgets. This role is responsible for generating high-quality work in alliance with the vision and mission of Tri-City, defining project scope, setting team direction, and determining the organizational structure of the project team. The Project Manager will also conduct a review of the initial job estimate, take ownership of the construction estimate for budgeting projections, and prepare layout and construction drawings. They will understand plans and specifications to identify necessary materials and equipment, develop budgets and cost codes, and assist in preparing technical proposals. This role involves developing specific goals and plans, reviewing and processing contracts, and planning the procurement of materials. The Project Manager will coordinate, supervise, and manage others, develop a positive work environment, and create project schedules with cost and manpower forecasting. They will present project scopes to clients, prepare and maintain the complete project scope, and provide onsite surveys of cost to complete. Monitoring, documenting, and controlling the project through updated construction schedules and determining manpower needs are key responsibilities. The role includes scheduling and conducting project meetings, documenting job delays/accelerations, and accurately reporting project costs. Monthly project billings, manpower requirements, and job cost analysis will be prepared. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and managing project close-out/turnover are also critical. The Project Manager will maintain effective working relationships with vendors, owners, and internal business partners, and stay abreast of current trends in the field.
