We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Electrical Inspector to join our Austin Area team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a mission-critical commercial construction project while partnering with a highly respected team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional inspection services.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), commercial electrical systems, and current construction practices.
- Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide practical, code-compliant solutions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with contractors, clients, and project teams.
- Excellent time management, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
- Trade Inspectors must be licensed in Texas. Candidates currently licensed in states with Texas reciprocity may obtain a Texas Master Electrician license through reciprocity, eliminating additional examination requirements.
Nice To Haves
- ICC Electrical Inspector Certification preferred.
- Commercial electrical inspection experience
- Municipal inspection experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections during all phases of commercial electrical construction
- Read and examine electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Inspect installations for compliance with applicable electrical codes and approved plans.
- Report violations, prepare inspection reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform other related duties as required.
