About The Position

RQ Construction is building a pool of qualified Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanics for anticipated project needs at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC, and nearby locations. This ongoing recruitment effort seeks experienced tradespeople for future assignments as project needs arise. All work will be performed on the military installation and paid in accordance with the applicable Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. In this hands-on role, you will perform carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall installation, and related construction tasks using a variety of hand and power tools. Successful candidates will demonstrate quality workmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive jobsite.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Five or more years of carpentry experience, including rough and/or finish carpentry
• At least two years of commercial construction field or trade experience, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience with steel stud framing and metal frame installation required
• Must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire
• Must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base

Nice To Haves

• Acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
• Forklift/manlift operation training or certifications
• Trenching and shoring training or certifications
• Fall protection training or certifications
• Confined space training or certifications
• Lockout/Tagout training or certifications
• Scissor lift/boom lift operation training or certifications
• EM 385-1-1 40-hour training or certifications
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour training or certifications
