Commercial Driver – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and support store operations. As a Commercial Driver, you will use safe driving skills to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers in company-provided vehicles. The role offers career stability and growth opportunities in an essential industry; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required. You will provide customer service and automotive advice, coordinate with store personnel and commercial accounts, and complete deliveries, pickups, and returns. You will follow delivery schedules, company policies, PPE guidelines, and fleet safety policies; process payments securely; keep current on automotive products and promotions; and maintain delivery vehicles and report issues.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, provide clear and professional automotive advice, and offer installation services.
- Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to support team collaboration and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles and safely and punctually deliver automotive parts to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
