Commercial Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Commercial Driver to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role focuses on safe, timely deliveries, customer service, and collaboration with store personnel and commercial accounts. Drivers load and unload parts according to route schedules, collect returns and other items, process customer payments, and maintain delivery vehicles. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. Drivers are expected to follow company policies, fleet safety requirements, and PPE guidelines while meeting delivery time and accuracy goals. They also stay informed about automotive products and promotions through AutoZone systems. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! customer service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Collaborate with store personnel and commercial accounts to support effective teamwork and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles and deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
