Commercial Driver – Part Time

About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service and support customers with their automotive needs. As a part-time Commercial Driver, you will drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and promptly to commercial customers. You will engage with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, provide clear automotive advice, and offer installation services. The role also includes loading and unloading parts, collecting returns and pickups, processing payments, following safety requirements, and maintaining delivery vehicles. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
Previous experience in automotive retail.
A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.

Responsibilities

Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to support collaboration and customer relationships.
Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
