Commercial Driver – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a full-time Commercial Driver to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The position focuses on safe, timely, and accurate deliveries, customer service, teamwork with store personnel and commercial accounts, and following company procedures and fleet safety policies. A CDL is not required. The driver also loads and unloads merchandise, collects returns and parts, processes customer payments, stays informed about automotive products and promotions, and helps maintain delivery vehicles. The role requires a valid driver’s license, basic automotive-parts knowledge, the ability to lift and deliver merchandise, and availability for a flexible schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Must be available for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, provide clear and professional automotive advice, and offer installation services.
- Work with store personnel and commercial accounts to support collaboration and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations, meet time and accuracy goals, and follow company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay informed about promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
