Commercial Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers select automotive parts, maintain inventory, and support store operations. As a part-time Commercial Driver, you will use safe driving skills to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. The role includes delivery operations, customer service, returns and pickups, payment processing, safety compliance, product knowledge, and basic vehicle upkeep. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with AutoZone driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers; provide clear, professional automotive advice and offer installation services.
- Work with store personnel and commercial accounts to support teamwork and strong customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations, meet time and accuracy goals, and follow company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles and deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay informed about promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
