Commercial Driver – Part Time

About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service and automotive parts solutions in an essential retail industry. As a part-time Commercial Driver, you will use safe driving skills to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers in company-provided vehicles. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required. The role also supports customer service, store teamwork, efficient delivery operations, returns and pickups, transaction processing, product knowledge, and vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
Previous experience in automotive retail.
A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.

Responsibilities

Engage with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, provide clear and professional automotive advice, and offer installation services.
Collaborate with store personnel and commercial accounts to support teamwork and strong customer relationships.
Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
Follow personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and fleet safety policies.
Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
Stay informed about promotions and automotive products using AutoZone systems.
Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
