About The Position

Harder Mechanical is seeking a Commercial Driver to facilitate daily deliveries between warehouse locations and project sites throughout the Phoenix valley. This role involves assisting warehouse staff with loading and unloading equipment and materials. The work hours are 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime. Harder Mechanical is a large mechanical contractor known for safety, meeting schedules, and quality projects, operating primarily in the 11 western states.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail to recognize issues before they become problems.
Ability to read and understand packing slips to pick up and receive materials and equipment.
Current CDL driver's license.
Experience pulling trailers 24’, 30’, or 40’ in length using a 12’ flatbed truck.
Experience driving a forklift to assist in loading and unloading trucks.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, crouch, kneel, lift, and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds).

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
May need to pass a background check to access secure areas on project site.

Responsibilities

Perform daily deliveries between fabrication/warehouse sites using a 24’, 30’, or 40’ trailer with 12’ flatbed truck and 24’ stack bed delivery trucks.
Identify issues and efficiencies to help improve the delivery process.
Partner with warehouse employees and field personnel to load and unload trucks.
