Commercial Driver – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service and automotive parts support in a retail environment. As a Commercial Driver, you will deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role emphasizes safe and timely deliveries, customer service, teamwork, and adherence to company policies. A CDL is not required. The position also includes loading and unloading parts, collecting returns and pickups, processing customer transactions, maintaining delivery vehicles, and staying informed about automotive products and promotions. Full-time schedule availability is required, with flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Must be available for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Work with store personnel and commercial accounts to support collaboration and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
