Commercial Driver – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, maintain inventory, help customers select products, and support store operations. As a Commercial Driver, you will use safe driving skills to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers in a company-provided vehicle. The role offers career stability and growth opportunities in an essential industry; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required. The position combines delivery operations with customer service, teamwork, payment processing, and vehicle upkeep. Drivers load and unload parts according to route schedules, collect returns and other items, follow safety policies, and maintain delivery vehicles. Full-time schedule availability is required, with flexibility for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to support team collaboration and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
