Commercial Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers select automotive products, maintain inventory, and support store operations. As a part-time Commercial Driver, you will deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using a company-provided vehicle. The role emphasizes safe, timely, and accurate deliveries, customer service, teamwork, and following company policies. No Commercial Driver’s License is required. Drivers also load and unload parts, collect returns and cores, process customer payments, keep up to date on products and promotions through AutoZone systems, and maintain delivery vehicles while reporting issues. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Engage with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, provide clear and professional automotive advice, and offer installation services.
- Coordinate with store personnel and commercial accounts to support teamwork and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay informed about promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
