Commercial Driver – Full Time

About The Position

The Commercial Driver delivers automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role focuses on safe, timely and accurate delivery operations, excellent customer service, and collaboration with store personnel and commercial accounts. No commercial driver’s license is required. The driver loads and unloads parts according to route schedules, collects returns and other items, processes customer payments, follows personal protective equipment and fleet safety policies, and maintains delivery vehicles. The position requires basic automotive parts knowledge, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift and deliver merchandise, and a flexible full-time schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license and compliance with AutoZone driver safety requirements.
Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
Ability to lift, load and deliver merchandise.
Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Strong people skills and effective communication in Spanish and English.
Previous automotive retail experience.
Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, including clear automotive advice and offering installation services.
Work with store personnel and commercial accounts to support teamwork and strong customer relationships.
Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time.
Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
Collect returns, cores and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
Stay informed about promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
