Commercial Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Commercial Driver to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role supports AutoZone’s customer-first retail operations by providing professional customer service and automotive advice, maintaining safe and efficient delivery operations, and collaborating with store personnel and commercial accounts. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. The driver loads and unloads parts according to route schedules, collects returns and other items from nearby stores or outside vendors, and processes customer payments securely. The role also requires following personal protective equipment and fleet safety policies, keeping current on products and promotions through AutoZone systems, and reporting vehicle issues promptly. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, meet AutoZone’s driver safety requirements, have basic automotive parts knowledge, and be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide WOW! customer service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, including clear automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Work with store personnel and commercial accounts to support team collaboration and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to make safe, timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay current on automotive products and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
