About The Position

Apex Waste Solutions is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious CDL Commercial Driver to operate company vehicles and collect, transport, and dispose of waste and recyclables. The driver follows designated routes and schedules, complies with safety regulations, and provides professional service to customers. The role involves outdoor work in all weather conditions and physical labor, including lifting and handling heavy loads. Early morning shifts and occasional weekend work may be required.

Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
Previous experience driving commercial trucks.
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, such as trash trucks and roll-off trucks, to collect waste and recyclables.
Follow local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely pickups.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
Load, transport, and unload waste and recyclable materials at designated disposal facilities.
Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing questions or concerns.
Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and follow procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable.
Clean and maintain the vehicle, report missed pickups, and document daily work logs.
Communicate with dispatchers and team members to support route efficiency and timely service.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
