Commercial Driver – Full Time
About The Position
The Commercial Driver delivers automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role focuses on safe, timely, and accurate deliveries, customer service, and coordination with store personnel and commercial accounts. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. The driver also loads and unloads parts, collects returns and cores, processes customer payments, follows personal protective equipment and fleet safety requirements, and maintains delivery vehicles. The schedule is full-time and flexible, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to support collaboration and strong customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations, meet time and accuracy goals, and follow company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time; load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report any issues.
