Commercial Driver – Part Time
About The Position
The Commercial Driver delivers automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role focuses on safe, timely, and accurate deliveries, customer service, and coordination with store personnel and commercial accounts. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. The driver loads and unloads parts, collects returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors, processes customer payments, and follows route schedules and company policies. The position also requires compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and fleet safety policies, keeping current on automotive products and promotions, and maintaining delivery vehicles and promptly reporting issues. The role is part-time and requires the ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with AutoZone driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Must be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, offering clear and professional automotive advice and installation services.
- Work with store personnel and commercial accounts to support teamwork and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts safely and on time to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and according to company policies.
- Stay informed about promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
