Commercial Door & Hardware Operations Manager
About The Position
Delaware County Supply is a family-owned leader in architectural building materials, proudly serving the Tri-State area for more than 100 years. We're seeking an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Operations Manager to lead our well-established Hollow Metal Door & Hardware Department. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone with deep experience in commercial hollow metal doors, frames, and architectural hardware who wants to make a direct impact on department performance, customer satisfaction, and future growth. The department has a strong reputation, loyal customer base, and a long history of success. Requirements
- Extensive experience with commercial hollow metal doors, frames, and architectural hardware
- Experience reviewing commercial construction documents, drawings, specifications, and hardware schedules
- Strong knowledge of Division 8 products and applications
- Experience with bidding, estimating, project coordination, purchasing, and material management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and project outcomes
- Desire to lead by example and remain actively involved in department operations
- Direct commercial hollow metal door, frame, and architectural hardware experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Hollow Metal Door & Hardware Department
- Oversee commercial bidding, estimates, quotations, and project workflows
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, door schedules, and hardware schedules
- Manage purchasing, material ordering, and supplier relationships
- Coordinate commercial projects from award through completion
- Monitor budgets, schedules, deliveries, and change orders
- Provide technical expertise on commercial doors, frames, and hardware applications
- Work directly with contractors, architects, vendors, and customers
- Collaborate with our custom hollow metal shop to ensure efficient production workflow, quality standards, scheduling, and on-time delivery
- Train, mentor, and support team members while sharing industry knowledge
- Improve processes, efficiency, and overall department performance
- Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and profitably
