Requirements

  • Valid, current state-issued driver's license for daily field travel.
  • Ability to meet physical demands: regular fieldwork outdoors, frequent ladder use, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • A true problem-solver who finds root causes and delivers lasting solutions.
  • Technically fluent with hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Comfortable with welding, hydraulics, and fabrication.
  • Self-managed professional capable of running their day, tools, and job site independently.
  • Physically capable for fieldwork in varying outdoor conditions, with frequent standing, bending, ladder use, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Customer-facing confident with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Takes pride in handling challenging jobs and ensuring they are completed correctly.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate or diploma accepted and valued.
  • Hands-on experience with welding, mechanical systems, hydraulics, or electrical work.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial dock and door systems, including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, dock levelers, dock seals and shelters, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment to manufacturer standards, including rolling doors, sectional doors, dock levelers, and related systems.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to diagnose root causes of equipment issues.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate brackets, mounts, and installation hardware.
  • Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site, complying with all OSHA safety policies, PPE requirements, and fall protection standards.
  • Document all service activity precisely, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providing job status updates and explaining service needs.
  • Support teammates on larger installations and remain flexible to changing schedules.
