About The Position

The Door and Frame Installer will perform the professional installation, repair and maintenance of commercial doors and hardware. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, productive, and timely work environment, demonstrating a professional and positive attitude, and following the direction of leading technicians. The installer will assist in ensuring work instructions are clear and necessary tools and materials are prepared for efficient customer visits. Key aspects include good workmanship in demolition, installation, and cleanup, ensuring no damage to customer property, and proper installation of materials. Coordination with the service manager and other technicians is essential for proper work completion and meeting customer expectations. The role also involves seeking out training opportunities to grow expertise.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Ability to utilize a tape measure and level.
  • Pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • No issue with repetitive use of fingers and hands, standing, squatting, bending and lifting up to 50lbs unassisted.
  • Able to work at heights off of ladders, scaffolding, lifts, platforms, etc.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with no adverse occurrences in the last 5 years.
  • OSHA 10 required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, productive, and timely work environment for self and team members.
  • Exhibit a professional and positive attitude in all activities, especially with customers.
  • Follow direction and guidance of CIH leading technicians for all work performed.
  • Assist in ensuring work instructions are clear and necessary tools, materials, and equipment are loaded into the company vehicle for efficient customer visits.
  • Perform good workmanship in all activities including demolition, installation, and cleanup, ensuring no damage to customer equipment or facility and proper installation of all materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the service manager and other service technicians to ensure work is completed properly and aligns with customer expectations.
  • Seek out training on new skills and installation techniques and apply knowledge gained to grow expertise.
  • Participate in all applicable training opportunities for safety and the position.
  • Remove, install, fabricate, and service commercial hollow metal/wood doors, frames, and associated hardware.
  • Report daily job progress to the Service and Installation Manager.
  • Track and maintain all job-related paperwork and computer system information and submit in a timely manner.
  • Review packing slips and materials to assure suitability for the intended application before starting work.
  • Utilize company vehicles according to vehicle policy and applicable laws.
