About The Position

Commercial Divers provide commercial diving services, including underwater inspections and construction as well as associated topside work. The position may also involve shop and equipment maintenance. Based in the Rosedale, Maryland shop, the diver performs underwater and topside tasks, inspections, and repairs on marine construction projects under the guidance of experienced professionals, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Requirements

Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card.
Current Blood Borne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, and DAN O2 Administration certifications.
Valid driver’s license.
Current ADCI “Fit to Dive” physical.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
Ability to work hard, remain motivated, and be a self-starter.
Must meet the company's employment eligibility requirements and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Ability and availability to work overtime and outside normal working hours may be required.
Ability to maintain current industry knowledge through professional organizations or other activities, which may require additional or flexible working hours.

Nice To Haves

10-hour OSHA General Construction Course.
Certified welder.
Mechanic background.

Responsibilities

Set up a dive station and ensure all equipment is functioning as designed.
Complete required daily safety sheets and participate in daily safety meetings.
Understand and follow health and safety procedures related to the work.
Perform basic construction tasks involving areas such as concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, and fabrication.
Understand the project scope and associated tasks.
Understand line pull, rigging, and crane signals, and demonstrate proper rigging techniques.
Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed-upon expectations.
Perform underwater inspections and construction, associated topside work, and possible shop and equipment maintenance.
