About The Position

Equifax is looking for a talented Data Steward to support our Commercial business. This role serves as the subject matter expert and data steward/execution analyst for identified commercial public record data assets. The position involves developing metrics and reports for management, executing proactive detection of data quality and data enhancement needs, and implementing business rules/requirements with technology and other applicable organizational areas. The Data Steward will also lead communications with internal and external partners regarding data issues, perform impact and risk assessments, and manage cross-functional teams in resolution or mitigation options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, information management, statistics, operations research or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience with knowledge of data stewardship and/or within a data management environment and how they affect business decisions.
  • Experience with data handling/quality tools, ETL tools, SQL, GCP/BQ, Python
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in Commercial Credit: Deep knowledge of commercial credit processes and data, allowing for immediate and valuable contributions to business credit products.
  • Strong Autonomy: Independently learns and solves complex technical or business data issues with minimal supervision.
  • Effective Collaboration: Proven success in partnering with Business Unit (BU) stakeholders to efficiently diagnose and resolve operational, system or data issues.
