About The Position

This role is responsible for the thoughtful application of the Danaher Business System (DBS) in the geographic business regions (NA) for the sales organization at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. The Commercial DBS Leader acts as a partner to the Regional Sales Vice President, advocating, upholding, and innovating DBS capabilities at all levels and sub-functions within the Regional Sales organization. The successful candidate will have an executive presence, the ability to drive results, and will lead from the front, helping sales leaders prioritize impactful actions and countermeasures with data-driven insights. This position reports to the Director, DBS Commercial Domain, and is part of the Global DBS Team. While this role is posted on-site in the US, applications from qualified candidates in other US locations will be considered equally. This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years in sales, sales management, sales operations, or similar role OR equivalent time in a position dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated use of Danaher Business System Fundamental and Commercial Tool.
  • Ability to travel – 35 % travel, overnight, within North America, occasional international travel.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 40lbs in support of training and workshops.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Practitioner status in one or more DBS tools preferred.
  • Previous experience in strong process orientation, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Ability to perform exceptionally in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Experienced influencer capable of managing/leading teams at all levels of an organization, including executive level, without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Govern Regional Commercial Kaizen & Problem-Solving Funnels: Guide teams to prioritize focus and ensure ongoing use of DBS Kaizen Standards, Best Practices, and Sustainment.
  • Manage Commercial DBS Certification Pipeline: Build DBS skills across the Americas Region by helping business partners prioritize DBS tool certification needs, identify candidates, and support those candidates throughout the process.
  • Teach DBS and Nurture DBS Culture: Lead DBS-related events and trainings and serve as the DBS standard-bearer for the Commercial Organization.
  • Drive DBS Fundamentals into the Commercial Org: Ensure that DBS Fundamentals are adopted and used appropriately within the region, advocating the use of daily management, problem-solving (PSP) with urgency and a bias toward action.
  • Oversee Deployment of Commercial DBS Tools: Assure appropriate use, proper deployment, and ongoing sustainment of new DBS tools – and drive for innovation in the creation and adaptation of tools by BEC LS when possible.
