This role involves participating in credit training classes where proficiency is evaluated through graded casework and testing. Trainees must meet training requirements, assigned tasks, and performance expectations to progress. The associate will prepare basic credit packages, including credit analysis for extensions, modifications, and renewals of existing loan facilities, as well as new loan requests. Responsibilities include spreading business financial statements using the Baker Hill/One Point system, analyzing operating performance and financial condition to understand business trends and identify credit risks, and conducting cash flow analysis to evaluate loan repayment ability. The role also involves spreading and analyzing personal financial statements to assess personal liquidity, debt levels, and contingencies, assessing collateral coverage, and performing industry/market analysis to identify trends and risks. Additionally, the associate will prepare loan offerings and related forms for the credit package, identify and report credit policy and underwriting experience, and complete underwriting requests within expected timeframes to meet assignment deadlines. A strong understanding of credit policies and adherence to department procedures are essential.
