About The Position

Nextdoor is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its high-impact legal team. This role is central to enabling Nextdoor’s global revenue and business teams, with a focus on commercial transactions, advertising partnerships, and the development of scalable legal systems. As Commercial Counsel, you will advise on a broad range of commercial matters, draft and negotiate contracts with advertising clients, agencies, and partners, and design workflows and playbooks that empower business teams to move quickly while maintaining legal integrity. You will play a key role in operationalizing AI tools and emerging technologies across the contract lifecycle, ensuring that legal operations are efficient, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• In-house work within technology or digital media.
• Proven track record of building legal operations infrastructure.
• Experience with AI-driven legal tools.
• Experience with digital advertising contracts.
• A builder’s mindset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage risk.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with data privacy.
• Familiarity with IP.
