About The Position

We are currently seeking Commercial & Corporate Lawyers to work with our clients at some of the world’s largest automotive, retail, technology, consumer goods, and professional services companies. The ideal candidate will have experience advising businesses on commercial and corporate matters, with a background in one or more of the following areas: corporate governance, supply chain, government contracts/public procurement, procurement, or marketing and advertising. Candidates do not need experience across all areas.

Requirements

4+ years of legal experience in one or more of the following areas: corporate governance, supply chain, government contracts/public procurement, procurement, or marketing and advertising, preferably with in-house experience
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and/or advising business stakeholders on corporate, governance, regulatory, or commercial matters
Strong ability to provide practical legal guidance and work cross-functionally with business teams
Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel to business teams on a variety of commercial, corporate, and operational matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, which may include supplier, procurement, vendor, services, distribution, manufacturing, technology, marketing, and advertising agreements.
Advise on matters within one or more areas of specialization, including corporate governance, supply chain, procurement, government contracts/public procurement, or marketing and advertising.
Partner with legal and business stakeholders to identify and manage contractual, regulatory, and commercial risks.
