About The Position

The Commercial Contract Specialist functions as a key contributor within the commercial deal process, enabling efficient and compliant contract execution. This role includes managing contract intake and processing workflows, contract metadata management and optimization, and supporting Sales with contract negotiation strategies. This role does not provide legal advice but performs contract review and supports risk identification within established framework balancing contract risk with business objectives to enable consistent, scalable, and efficient deal execution. This role will support Company objectives including delivery, revenue, and EBITDA targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in business management, or Associate’s in paralegal studies, or similar, is required
  • Minimum 3-4 years in contract management, paralegal, or similar role
  • Experience in workflow development and contract lifecycle management
  • Expert-level in MS Word and strong ability to learn custom software applications
  • Experience in MS Forms (or similar), SharePoint, and similar workflow tools
  • Experience in using Salesforce (or similar CRM) for document and sales-pipeline management
  • Fluent in contract structures, terms, and negotiation processes
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service experience and ability to work closely with outside counsel

Nice To Haves

  • WorldCC CCM, NCMA CPCM, NALA CP/APC, NFPA CRP/RP, NALS PP (or similar) is preferred
  • Prior experience within the Foodservice or Hygiene supplies industry is preferred
  • Prior experience with PowerBI is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end contracting processes including intake, document review & risk assessment, redlining, approval routing, execution, and tracking of all NDAs, MPA/MSAs, T&Cs, stocking agreements, and related customer and supplier-facing contracts.
  • Use established standards and risk tolerance guidelines to build recommendations for Sales, Product Management, and Company Executives to facilitate the progression, negotiations, and execution of all contracts.
  • Operate within commercial guidelines and escalate non-standard risks to appropriate stakeholders, including outside Legal counsel, when required.
  • Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and standard terms to streamline deal cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements across all contracts.
  • Track contract status, key contract terms/milestones, and renewal timelines.
  • Establish, enforce, and optimize intake processes to improve turnaround times and visibility.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and workflow visibility within Salesforce and/or other contract repositories, ensuring proper version control, filenames, and accessibility.
  • Develop and apply document management principles to contracts stored in existing repositories.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track contract cycle times, workload, and bottlenecks.
  • Support Sales Operations with annual rebate agreement renewals.
