About The Position

Lawyers supporting the commercial side of the business including contract development and agreement management, external customer sales of products and services, government contracting. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Requirements

  • JD degree with 3 to 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with contract drafting and negotiation and customer/client interaction and relationships.
  • Experience of the Healthcare industry and previous exposure to medical industry regulations (FDA, Medicare/Medicaid anti-kickback).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading all strategic commercial contracts and process issues arising in the region, supporting the regional team on commercial matters and improving existing processes.
  • Establish and maintain efficient processes in the framework of a compliant culture across the region.
  • Acting as a business partner by applying combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating strategic business agreements and transactions such as (but not limited to) customer sales contracts, amendments and sales agreements.
  • Advising the business on regulatory, privacy, antitrust and advertising/promotional matters.
  • Providing regulatory and compliance advice in conjunction with the Regulatory and Compliance specialist areas in GE Healthcare.
  • Supporting on dispute resolution and litigation where appropriate.
