About The Position

Gemini Construction Company, LLC, the construction arm of Hull Property Group, specializes in retail construction in operating environments. The company performs large-scale renovation and demolition projects, everyday site work, and store build-outs for national retailers at Hull Property Group retail properties.

The Traveling Construction Superintendent oversees on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications. This is a four-month project in Lake City, Florida, with the possibility of continued work for candidates willing to travel. Qualified candidates must live within a commutable distance to Kingsport, Tennessee. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction experience; experience across multiple divisions is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and renderings.
• Must be available via phone and/or email for extended work hours, including weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
• Must live within a commutable distance to Kingsport, Tennessee.
• Must be able to work on site in Lake City, Florida.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time if there is mutual interest in continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily reviews to ensure compliance with construction plans and perform quality control inspections of subcontractors’ work.
• Review, understand, and enforce project schedules and milestone obligations.
• Coordinate and manage multiple trades and tasks simultaneously, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts in work conditions.
• Maintain accurate daily job logs and track and report construction activities on the jobsite.
• Identify potential change orders and scope gaps in a timely manner and communicate accordingly.
• Receive, inspect, and verify material deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Ensure jobsites are kept clean, organized, and professional at all times.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and Company safety policies and procedures.
