About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial construction ground up and renovation projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing commercial construction, coordinating multiple trades, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety while working in occupied facilities, confined campuses/sites, and active multi phased construction projects. This position requires communication, planning, and leadership skills, along with a thorough understanding of commercial construction regulations, safety regulations, and the unique operational requirements of occupied facilities.

Requirements

Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
At least 2 years managing commercial construction or renovation projects in occupied facilities.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings.
Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency using construction management software, scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and mobile field reporting applications.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with heavy commercial renovations, ground up construction and work in restrictive site environments.
OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Code requirements.
Experience with electronic project management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, or similar software.

Responsibilities

Manage all daily field operations for commercial construction projects, both ground up and renovation.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, facility personnel, and project stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety plans.
Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, contract documents, industry standards, and quality expectations.
Conduct daily site inspections and proactively resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and project closeout documentation.
Maintain detailed daily reports documenting labor, progress, weather, deliveries, inspections, and field conditions.
Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project updates with project managers and clients.
Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittments, and change orders to ensure accurate field execution.
Manage project logistics in occupied environments while minimizing disruption to end users and facility operations.
Ensure projects comply with all applicable building codes, life safety requirements, and owner standards.
