About The Position

S.A. Morman is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare material quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects throughout Michigan. This position works closely with our Sales team to provide accurate, timely estimates for Construction Managers and General Contractors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Nice To Haves

• Previous estimating or commercial construction experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications
• Prepare accurate, detailed material quantity takeoffs based on project scope
• Review bid documents to identify project requirements and potential issues
• Work closely with the Sales team to ensure bids are completed accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, contractors, coworkers and management
• Identify and solve problems throughout the estimating process
• Manage multiple bids and priorities simultaneously
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs and other estimating tools as required
