Murray Company is looking for an Estimator to join our growing Pre-Construction Department. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for executing quantity takeoffs, estimating, and assembling high‑quality deliverables while providing advocacy, leadership, and responsiveness in collaboration with both internal and external teams. In this role, you will confidently develop budgets and proposals aligned with client expectations, deliver projects across various contract types and delivery methods, and support Preconstruction Managers on larger project teams. You will prepare bid scopes, solicit and evaluate trade partner and vendor bids, and assist with subcontracts and purchase orders, while maintaining accurate project files, correspondence, drawings, and proposals. Additionally, you will create a variety of project documents and reports, coordinate internal and external meetings such as post‑bids, kickoffs, and design or budget reviews, and contribute creative solutions that drive continuous improvement and innovation in preconstruction processes—helping deliver a great client experience.

Requirements

  • Associate’s (A.A.) degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school and 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Procore
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and trade partners
  • Valid driver’s license
