About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Concrete Project Engineer to join our Innovative Concrete team! In this role, you will oversee and operate commercial concrete projects from pre-construction through closeout with each project partner to keep work efficiently and according to plan. This position requires someone who understands concrete construction and can manage both the details and the bigger picture. The Project Manager will stay ahead of the project, anticipate what the field will need, keep communication moving, and address issues before they become delays. A strong understanding of plans, specifications, scheduling, project costs, and construction processes is essential. The PM will also be responsible for maintaining control of the project's financial performance, coordinating changes, supporting the field, and making sure company standards and safety expectations are followed. This is a hands-on management role for someone who is dependable, organized, communicates well, and takes ownership of a project.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage a variety of commercial/industrial concrete projects from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Efficiently stay ahead of crews by four weeks on RFI's, procurement of materials, and scheduling. Coordinate with General Contractors and other Sub-contractors.
  • Review all project documents, including project submittals, RFI's, and shop drawings for completeness and accuracy.
  • Responsible for Pre-Construction duties. Attend pre-construction meetings.
  • Use project management and scheduling programs. Be capable of learning new software and integrating it into workflow.
  • Collaborate with Estimator in helping to create and coordinate change orders.
  • Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule. Interpret plans and specifications as required and coordinate with Superintendent to ensure work is completed accordingly. Plan day to day operations, as well as work with management to forecast operations.
  • Responsible for managing project financials, billings, and cost procedures. Collaborate with Estimator in helping to create and coordinate change orders.
  • Conduct team meetings, owner/architect meetings, and safety audits presenting job cost, scheduling updates, and project status reports at regular intervals.
  • Ensure company policy, procedures, and standards are enforced.
  • Responsible for all project safety. Must be able to implement and enforce all established safety policies and procedures. Remedy potentially unsafe conditions; manage equipment and materials properly.
  • Represent Innovative Concrete, LLC to clients, project team, subcontractors, adjacent community, governmental agencies, all personnel involved in a professional manner and build trusting relationships.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of concrete installation and operations.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
  • Maximize problem-solving through communication with all personnel, work hard to find solutions to problems.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources for commercial concrete projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Must be dependable and complete tasks/projects on time. Able to multi-task and handle competing priorities.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, if required.
