About The Position

National Star Services, a 26-year-old facility management company with nationwide services, is seeking a Full-Time Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of all common areas within a luxury high-rise residential condominium in Chicago, IL 60601. The role involves daily cleaning of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, gyms, lounges, and other shared spaces. Responsibilities include floor care, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, trash and recycling removal, organizing mail and package areas, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring stairwells and emergency exits are clean and clear. Safe use of cleaning products and adherence to safety rules are essential.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Must have previous experience with commercial or industrial cleaning.
• Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, walking for extended periods).
• Immediate availability is preferred.
• A background check will be conducted prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas like lobbies, hallways, and elevators every day.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and keep floors looking clean.
• Wipe and disinfect high-touch areas like door handles, railings, and buttons.
• Clean restrooms, gyms, lounges, and other shared spaces.
• Take out trash and recycling and move it to the proper area.
• Keep the mailroom and package areas clean and organized.
• Refill cleaning supplies and restroom products when needed.
• Report any issues like broken lights, leaks, or safety problems.
• Keep stairwells and emergency exits clean and clear.
• Use cleaning products safely and follow all safety rules.
