Commercial Cleaner - Part Time (Evening Shift) [s]
About The Position
As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal, and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The position follows established work routines and company cleaning standards, using existing procedures to address straightforward problems with limited discretion. Work includes using chemical cleaners and power equipment, attending regular staff meetings and required in-service training, and may involve occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial work, or a similar field.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic building areas.
- Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
- Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while exercising limited discretion.
