About The Position

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner Lead, you will be responsible for basic cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal. You will ensure the cleanliness of your assigned areas, conduct thorough inspections for security breaches or hazards, and report any suspicious activities. This role requires maintaining confidentiality, completing security protocol training, and coordinating team activities. You will also manage daily staff meetings, in-service training, equipment checks, and supply orders, ensuring supplies are kept in a safe and secure area. Additionally, you will liaise with clients and employees, handle feedback, inform the team of requests, inspect work, and submit daily cleanliness reports. You will also initiate training on chemical cleaner usage, ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards, and provide cleaning support to private areas as needed. This role involves resolving complex problems, identifying appropriate solutions, and potentially establishing new techniques to meet team objectives, with a direct impact on team and related team objectives, ensuring positive customer outcomes. You will lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience.
  • Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
  • Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of cleaning areas for any security breaches or hazards.
  • Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information encountered during cleaning.
  • Complete required training on security protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks and cross-train staff.
  • Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
  • Check cleaning equipment condition.
  • Order cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Ensure supplies are in a safe, secure area always.
