About The Position
Skillforce is hiring Commercial Carpenter Helpers for ongoing project work in West Palm Beach, FL. As a Commercial Carpenter Helper, you will be responsible for assisting in layout, framing, and finish carpentry on an active commercial jobsite. Requirements
- Minimum of two years of commercial carpentry experience; institutional or new-construction experience is preferred.
- Ability to independently perform layouts from blueprints and complete work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
- Must provide personal hand tools and required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, and a safety vest.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- institutional or new-construction experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in lay out and frame interior and exterior walls using metal studs and wood framing based on project blueprints.
- Assist in install and finish drywall, blocking, and backing, as well as construct soffits, bulkheads, and ceiling framing.
- Install doors, frames, hardware, trim, casework, and other finish-carpentry components.
- Provide direction to assigned laborers, stage materials, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
