About The Position
FinTrust Connect has partnered with a well-capitalized regional banking institution to identify top talent for a Commercial Banking Team Lead opportunity focused on the northern Atlanta market. This role is ideal for a highly experienced commercial banking producer with deep relationships in the Alpharetta market who can lead local growth, expand client relationships, and strengthen the bank's presence across commercial lending and deposits. This is a relationship-driven, growth-oriented environment that values local market expertise, strong credit judgment, collaboration, and long-term client partnerships. The role is on-site in Alpharetta, GA and functions to lead commercial banking growth in the Alpharetta market through new business development, relationship expansion, deposit generation, and team leadership.
Requirements
- Extensive commercial banking experience with a demonstrated history of successful business development and relationship management.
- Strong, established network of business owners, executives, referral partners, and professional contacts in Alpharetta and the northern Atlanta market.
- Proven ability to originate and manage C&I credit relationships.
- Demonstrated success generating commercial deposits and expanding treasury and related banking relationships.
- Experience evaluating and originating non-owner-occupied commercial real estate opportunities where appropriate.
- Strong understanding of commercial credit, underwriting, risk management, and loan structuring.
- Ability to serve as a senior market leader while continuing to maintain an active production and relationship-management role.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-development skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with credit, treasury management, operations, risk, and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial banking growth efforts across Alpharetta and the broader northern Atlanta market, with an emphasis on expanding the institution's local presence and relationship base.
- Manage and deepen relationships with commercial clients, prospects, centers of influence, and referral partners.
- Develop new C&I lending opportunities while identifying complementary deposit and treasury management relationships.
- Originate appropriate commercial real estate opportunities, including non-owner-occupied CRE, while maintaining disciplined credit standards.
- Drive market-based business development through an established network of local business owners, executives, attorneys, accountants, investors, and other centers of influence.
- Lead and support commercial bankers within the market, helping establish priorities, strengthen calling efforts, and improve overall team effectiveness.
- Analyze prospective credit opportunities and coordinate with credit partners to structure transactions consistent with the institution's risk parameters.
- Maintain an active pipeline of commercial banking opportunities and provide visibility into business development activity and expected relationship growth.
- Coordinate across treasury management, credit, operations, and other internal partners to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
- Represent the institution in the local business community and strengthen its visibility among key commercial prospects and referral sources.
- Report to senior commercial banking leadership and contribute to broader market-growth and relationship-development strategies.
