About The Position

The Commercial Banking Representative II serves as the primary point of contact between commercial banking clients and the Bank. This role assists Commercial Relationship Managers in servicing clients, particularly with large and complex loan portfolios. The position is responsible for maintaining and expanding client relationships through comprehensive client support services, aiming to maximize client satisfaction and encourage relationship growth. A working knowledge of the assigned area and accounts is developed through frequent client interaction and standard procedure execution, with limited supervision required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day client calls, transactions, and problem resolution.
  • Respond to client account inquiries, perform account maintenance, and research/resolve client problems.
  • Execute client transactions within delegated authority or department guidelines, escalating requests outside norms or requiring RM approval to the assigned Relationship Manager (RM).
  • Assist in obtaining necessary information for loan applications, such as financial statements, tax returns, and business documentation.
  • Work with outside vendors (attorneys, title companies, etc.) for services like UCC searches, title work, appraisals, and flood determinations.
  • Specialize in loan documentation, ensuring accuracy in loan documents and legal loan files, including reviewing documents, organizing legal loan documents, and supporting information, and ensuring accuracy in digital records.
  • Prepare and/or review client account documents for RM-client meetings, focusing on signature completion, accuracy, and fulfillment of regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Submit complete and accurate requests for documentation in accordance with loan approvals, ensuring all supporting documents are available in Director/Unity Client.
  • Provide complete packages to Loan Servicing for Boarding/Funding, ensuring appropriate GLs are credited for fees collected.
  • Ensure all documentation is uploaded to Director/Unity Client timely and imaged files are complete.
  • Create ticklers in Credit Track according to loan agreement & guaranty requirements and assist RMs in obtaining information to clear ticklers.
  • Support commercial relationship managers and group managers with review and certification of legal entity validation, real estate collateral documentation, UCC and titled collateral validation.
  • Support commercial relationship managers and group managers with treasury and deposit products in partnership with internal bank Treasury, Retail Banking teams, and other business line referral programs.
  • Actively ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory, legal, and Credit Policy requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in internal and external training to maintain knowledge of Bank products, attend operational and exception meetings, and stay updated on credit policies and changes.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with peers and other business unit team members.
  • Generate or obtain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as assigned, reviewing for accuracy and compliance, and taking action to update systems or make corrections.
  • Reconcile client accounts, enter client financial data into databases, and monitor exceptions to company policies.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of key software systems and other Loan Operating Systems.
