About The Position

Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose between one of two sessions. Session 1: May 25 - August 13 Session 2: June 14 - September 3 The Commercial Banking Intern will support various teams within the Commercial Banking division, including client onboarding, sales operations, and treasury management. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about banking processes, regulatory frameworks, and client service strategies in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be available for the full 12-week internship program.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience in banking or finance.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software.
  • Familiarity with banking processes and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding new client accounts and managing signer changes.
  • Respond to internal and external requests professionally and within service-level agreements.
  • Support the development of process maps, procedures, and “Rules of Engagement” for sales teams.
  • Input and track sales team activities in Salesforce and provide operational feedback.
  • Participate in strategic and operational projects across Commercial Banking and Treasury Management.
  • Handle general client service requests, including account maintenance and user support.
  • Collaborate with specialty deposit groups to understand client needs and service models.
