Supports the clients and sales staff by performing moderate complex daily clerical functions to maintain the office and document processing. This role provides commercial lending support to Commercial Relationship Managers, reviews and funds loans, and processes and administers commercial loans. It involves recording new loans, establishing relevant files, processing loan payments, and maintaining loan records. The specialist will obtain credit information, ensure sufficient loan collateral, and calculate loan items and charges. They will also assist lending officers with disbursements and new loans, answer client inquiries, open new accounts, promote cross-selling, and research/correct account discrepancies. Additionally, the role involves preparing loan documents, notices, and reports, assisting with maintaining Relationship Managers' portfolios by clearing exceptions, and identifying clients’ operational needs to offer appropriate bank products and services. The specialist will provide comprehensive assistance to clients across loans, deposits, and other bank services, authorize overdraft payments and fees, and approve/process withdrawals on lines of credit. Communication with various professionals such as attorneys, insurance companies, and title companies is key, as is assisting with ordering appraisals, flood determinations, UCCs, and familiarizing oneself with OFAC. The role requires close collaboration with Bankers, Underwriters, Loan Closers, Loan Processing, and legal documentation areas for loan closings, and with Bankers, Underwriters, and loan operations for ongoing loan monitoring. Collaboration with Bankers, Treasury Management, and deposit operations for ongoing monitoring of depository/Treasury Management accounts is also expected. The specialist will process wire requests for clients and provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
