About The Position

This role serves as a Commercial Banking Administrator, providing support to Commercial Relationship Managers and Commercial Portfolio Managers in servicing the existing loan portfolio. Additionally, the position functions as an Executive Administrative Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. Responsibilities may include direct and indirect customer contact, and assistance with loan requests and modifications/reaffirmations of new and existing loans.

Requirements

  • High school/GED required.
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in commercial banking and loan operations background.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the EVP/Chief Lending Officer in fulfilling market and business development objectives, including preparing correspondence for department and board meetings.
  • Manage the day-to-day activity of the Loan Production Officers and act as a liaison with other areas of the bank.
  • Contribute to the successful achievement of the assigned portfolio(s) production goals.
  • Accurately complete and process various forms of correspondence for customer service and to meet internal policy requirements.
  • Prepare and review necessary documentation and forms, including situation pages and modification memos, efficiently. Review approvals and request real estate appraisals, lien and flood searches, property reports, environmental investigations, and other information requests.
  • Support the Relationship Manager in the pre-closing control number process by contacting insurance companies, completing the commercial documentation request form, control number checklist, and commitment/disbursement authorization.
  • Clear post-closing documentation exceptions with assistance from the Portfolio Manager or Relationship Manager.
  • Monitor reports such as loans maturing in 90 days, annual line reviews, and monthly letter of credit reports to ensure reaffirmations/reviews meet internal policy requirements and are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and ensure timely resolution of documentation and financial exceptions, as well as various tickler system requirements like insurance verification and real estate tax receipts. Process all pertinent information promptly.
  • Review and research UCC Continuation forms to ensure correct filing and adherence to loan approval terms. Provide information to the Relationship Manager/Portfolio Manager for decision-making.
  • Update information on required forms for internal risk assessment, including loan officer reviews, asset quality reviews, and property re-evaluations, and submit completed forms to the Portfolio Manager.
  • Review the unfunded commitment report and advise the Portfolio Manager and Relationship Manager of pending expirations.
  • Provide appropriate support in resolving customer service issues.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
