About The Position
This is a great opportunity to join the Global Commercial Banking Southwest Healthcare, Education, and Not‑for‑Profit team. The Healthcare, Education and Not-For-Profit Group (“HENFP”) is unique in that our client teams are dedicated to adding value by providing specialized products and solutions to Not-for-Profit Healthcare (hospitals, health systems and insurance providers), Private Higher Education, and Not- For- Profits (charitable, cultural, social and leading Non-Governmental organizations). Our client relationship teammates, located in the U.S. and around the globe, partner across our company to provide a wide range of financial services, integrated working capital management and treasury solutions, and underwriting and advisory services. Commercial Associates will develop foundational skills in financial analysis, client relationship support, and commercial banking operations that Bank of America delivers to our Commercial Banking clients.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of professional or business experience
- Applies analytical thinking and financial modeling skills
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and the ability to work independently
- Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Maintains strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Understands and interprets corporate financial statements
Nice To Haves
- Previously held an internship or entry-level role in financial services
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Desire to work in a specialty team with an interest in Healthcare, Education & NFP institutions.
Responsibilities
- Supports the analysis of market and industry data to uncover insights for client/prospect meetings, pitch books, and relationship reviews
- Collaborates with Market Executives, Relationship Managers, and team members across the bank to help prepare client presentations and support client deals
- Observes and supports the credit approval and treasury solutions processes to build knowledge of products, services, and related approval and packaging requirements
- Supports the coordination of clients/prospects and partners from product and deal teams throughout the course of a transaction
- Supports the delivery of new business analytics, monitors client activities, and performs portfolio optimization to identify and expand client relationships while maintaining and enhancing business opportunities
- Understands and interprets financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends
- Observes with domestic and international teammates including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management, and facilitates client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions
