About The Position

T&J Appliance Solutions, a division of T&J Companies, is seeking a Commercial Appliance Technician for their Central and Southern New Hampshire territory. This family-owned company focuses on providing professional, agile, and customer-centric commercial appliance and electrical services, primarily for retail locations throughout the Northeast. The Commercial Appliance Technician will be responsible for responding to customer work orders, traveling to customer locations, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with commercial appliances.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have a clean driving record.
Willingness to drive up to 2 hours (one way) for service calls.
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must pass a drug test and background check prior to starting work.

Nice To Haves

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing TurboChef, Merry Chef, Bunn, Mastrena, Hatco, Clover Vertica, Franke or similar equipment is preferred.
Knowledge of the Facility Services industry is preferred.
Refrigeration certification highly encouraged, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer work orders as assigned by the service manager.
Travel to and from customer locations to troubleshoot and resolve appliance issues.
View assigned work orders electronically via phone/iPad the afternoon before to be aware of the next day’s schedule.
Take the company vehicle home each night.
Report via phone to the service manager.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
